Letters of Recommendation

Submitting letters of recommendation is an application requirement for most colleges and scholarship organizations. Students are encouraged to think about 2-3 teachers whose classes they have excelled in and to ask those teachers to write letters of recommendation on their behalf.

Teachers are to be provided with a completed 'Letter of Recommendation Request Form'  prior to the writing of a letter of recommendation. Students can download a copy of this form by following the link below or obtain a copy from the School Counseling Office.

Best practice is to provide teachers with at least 3 weeks notice for writing a letter of recommendation. School counselors are more than happy to write letters of recommendation for students as well!
