About Us
The School Counseling Department at T. Dewitt Taylor Middle-High School is dedicated to helping all students. Our school counseling program focuses on providing students with opportunities to achieve optimal personal growth, acquire positive social skills and values, set appropriate career goals and to realize their full academic potential to become productive, contributing members of our community.
Throughout the year, School Counselors meet with students individually, in small and large groups and in the classroom to assist with:
- Academic advising including course selection, scheduling, and academic support
- Social and emotional counseling including peer relationships, stress management, conflict resolution and crisis intervention
- Graduation assurance
- Career and college exploration
- Post-secondary planning
El Departamento de Consejería Escolar de T. Dewitt Taylor Middle-High School está dedicado a ayudar a todos los estudiantes. Nuestro programa de consejería escolar se centra en proporcionar a los estudiantes oportunidades para lograr un crecimiento personal óptimo, adquirir habilidades y valores sociales positivos, establecer metas profesionales apropiadas y realizar todo su potencial académico para convertirse en miembros productivos y contribuyentes de nuestra comunidad.
A lo largo del año, los Consejeros Escolares se reúnen con los estudiantes individualmente, en grupos pequeños y grandes y en el salón de clases para ayudar con:
Asesoramiento académico que incluye selección de cursos, programación y apoyo académico

School Counselor Availability
School Counselors are available to students before and after school with an appointment and during lunch without an appointment.
For longer conferences, students must make an appointment through via email to designated School Counserlor.
Parent conferences can be scheduled by calling 386-740-9800 extension 23743. Speak to Ms. Claudia Ramos
*Counselors are not available during their lunch and planning periods from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
