Coach Williams is a graduate of T. Dewitt Taylor Middle High School. He graduated in 1989. This will be his 10th year as the Head Football Coach at Taylor and his 24th year as a teacher (all at Taylor). He was a two-time All State 1st Team Running Back and was picked twice by the Daytona News-Journal and the Orlando Sentinel as the Volusia County Offensive Player of the Year. He attended the University of North Carolina (Tar Heels) on an athletic scholarship. He has coached various sports here: Varsity Football , Varsity Girls Soccer, JV Boys Football, JV Boys Basketball, JV Girls Basketball,, JV Girls Softball and JV Girls Soccer. I am a father of three children, Shantel Martin (step-daughter), Jordan Williams (son), Jaya Williams (daughter) and Alani Davis (grand daughter). He loves playing disc golf and poker.

Coach Peters graduated from DeLand High School, where in his senior year was recognized as the MVP of the Bulldogs football team and Defensive Player of the Year for the baseball team. After graduation Coach Peters continued playing baseball, first for Seminole State College and then for UCF where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Coach Peters returns for his 16th year as part of the Taylor Wildcat football staff. This will also be his tenth year as the Head Coach of the Wildcat Baseball team. This marks Coach Peters 23nd year teaching at Taylor Middle-High School. He currently teaches 12th grade US Government and Economics. He lives in DeLand with his wife, Marina. Coach Peters has two daughters, Mackenzie and Mikaela and two step-sons, Tyler and Andy. When he finds a little free time, he enjoys traveling, playing disc golf and playing cards.
Kevin Hiss

Coach Hiss is a graduate of DeLand High SChool where he played football for his father. After graduation, Coach Hiss attended Daytona State and UCF where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in communications with a minor in education. He then returned to DeLand to teach and coach eventually arriving at Taylor. Coach Hiss has been teaching for 18 years and currently runs the Odyssey lab for 6-12th graders in addition to coaching. Coach Hiss has been working 13 years with the Wildcat Football Program. He also has seven years as the head coach of the girls basketball team and previously enjoyed helping Coach Peters with the baseball team. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends and lives in DeLand. In his down time, his hobbies include playing golf, going to the track and he always enjoys a GOOD LAUGH….Go CATS!!!
Dennis McDermott

Coach Dennis McDermott grew up in DeLeon Springs and is a graduate of Taylor High School class of 2002. He was on the last Wildcat Football team to win a state playoff game. Coach McDermott went on to earn his BS degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from UCF. In 2008 he served as defensive line coach at Mayville State University in North Dakota in between coaching stints at Taylor. This is Coach McDermott’s 12th season as an assistant coach and has also been the boys weightlifting coach for the past four years. During his down time and away from football Coach McDermott enjoys spending time with his wife Sabrina and daughters Hannah, Gracie and Lailah.
