Work based Learning (On the Job Training)

Work-based Learning 3

The On the Job Training (OJT) program at T. Dewitt Taylor Middle High School provides students with the opportunity to

acquire and demonstrate various skills, including employability, environmental, health, and safety competencies;

professional, legal, and ethical responsibilities; financial management; leadership; communication; human resources and

labor skills; understanding of America’s economic principles; entrepreneurial principles; and the ability to relate planning

methods to personal and career objectives. An essential element of this program is a paid, supervised on-the-job training

experience. Students may earn up to five (5) OJT credits within a single academic year and have the option to repeat the OJT
