Local Scholarships & Senior Awards Night

Taylor's Senior Awards Night will be held on Wednesday, May 16th at 6:30 in the Auditorium.. Seniors should make every effort to attend. Family and friends are invited to attend.  Students MUST wear Cap and Gown and the type of clothes that will be worn at graduation (No shorts, jeans, etc.). Seniors, plan on arriving for 6:00 PM and meeting in the first floor hallway of Building 5.

In order to be eligible for local scholarship awards, students must complete the Local Scholarship Application form and submit it to the School Counseling Office no later than 3:00 PM on Friday, March 23, 2018 with all attachments.  Students can obtain this application from the School Counseling Office or download a PDF version by clicking on the link below.

*There are some local scholarships that require a separate application.  Students will need to stop by the School Counseling Office to obtain these additional applications.

2018 LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION: KEY DATES

March 9th- Students must ask a teacher for a letter of recommendation and to proofread scholarship application essays no later than March 9th.

March 23rd- Local Scholarship application deadline. Application and all required attachments must be submitted to Ms. Guerrero, Guidance Receptionist, by 3:00 PM on Friday, March 23rd.

May 16th- Senior Awards Night at 6:30 PM (start time) in the Auditorium at Taylor. Students, wear your cap and gown and plan on arriving at 6:00 PM. Students will meet in the downstairs hallway of Building 5.

We post scholarships that we have been notified about.  We suggest that you conduct research to identify additional scholarship opportunities.

Daytona Beach News Journal Medallion of Excellence

The Medallion of Excellence application process has closed. Check back next December for 2018-2019 information. Below you will find important information that you can use as a guide. New this year! – the application process is now in a digital format. Please find attached key dates that will guide you through the process and the application flyer that you can share with your students.

The 2018 Medallion of Excellence Awards event will celebrate the achievements of up to 40 Volusia and Flagler high school seniors, in schools with more than 25 students in the graduating class. Applicants must be high-functioning students who maintain at least a 3.5 (weighted) academic GPA and who also excel in extracurricular and community activities in areas including (but not limited to) the arts, music, sports, volunteerism/community service and leadership.

Tomorrow's Leaders (Open to high school Juniors only)- NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR

Tomorrow’s Leaders applications are available. Click on the application link below to download a copy. Tomorrow's Leaders is a 6-month leadership training program designed for high school juniors. Tomorrow's Leaders prepares students for constructive leadership, responsible citizenship and active participation in the affairs of Volusia County and beyond.
