ACT

Image result for ACT

The ACT is an achievement test.  The questions on the ACT are directly related to what students learn in their high school courses in English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science.  Because the ACT tests are based on what is taught in the high school curriculum, some students are more comfortable with the ACT than they are with traditional aptitude tests or tests with narrower content.

Which Exam is a Better Fit for You?

P.E.R.T.

The purpose of Florida’s Post-secondary Education Readiness Test (P.E.R.T.) is to adequately assess students' academic skills in mathematics, reading and writing through the delivery of three assessments, one for each of these areas.  The results of these assessments are used to determine students' placement into appropriate courses at their college.  The PERT is used to determine eligibility for Dual Enrollment Courses.

Note: Students can only take the PERT THREE TIMES at Daytona State College.  Please see your School Counselor to discuss your options.
